Awards Criteria

Individual Awards

The following trophies will be awarded to athletes of the Werribee Little Athletics Centre at the Annual Presentation Day:

U6 Boys & Girls

Life Member PB Award

U7 & U8 Boys & Girls

Age Group Champions (1st, 2nd, 3rd & Consistency Award)

Life Member PB Award

U9 - U10 Boys & Girls

Age Group Champions (1st, 2nd, 3rd & Consistency Award)

Life Member Award for Distance, Sprint, Jumps or Throws

U11 - U12 Boys & Girls

Age Group Champions (1st, 2nd, 3rd & Consistency Award)

Life Member Award for Distance, Sprint, Jumps or Throws

U13 - U17 Boys & Girls

Age Group Champions (1st, 2nd, 3rd & Consistency Award)

Life Member Award for Distance, Sprint, Jumps or Throws

All eligible athletes who do not win any of the above awards will be awarded with an Encouragement Award

Age Group Champion Awards

This award is calculate based on a point system based on how close the athlete gets to the centre record for each of the events.

The points an athlete is awarded for each of the events is calculated to a total number as well as a weekly average. Athletes are allowed to miss 2 weeks of competition before their weekly average is affected.

The 1st, 2nd and 3rd place getters are the top 3 athletes with the best weekly average. A consistency award is awarded to any athlete with a greater overall total of points than any of the athletes who place 1st, 2nd or 3rd.

Life Member PB Award

This award is given to the athlete with the most PB’s in their age group for the season.

Life Member Awards for Distance, Sprint, Jumps or Throws

This award is calculated based on the percentage of improvement in each of the disciplines. It is awarded to junior, intermediate and senior Boys & Girls to the athlete with the best percentage of improvement.

Eligibility

To be eligible for an Age Group Champion trophy, athletes must participate in 75% of the program, including 50% of rounds after Christmas. To be eligible for an Encouragement Award, athletes need to participate in 50% of the program, including 50% of the rounds after Christmas.
